Love this. Reminds me that one of my favorite things about my mom is how she is always the first and last on the dance floor, full of joy. Has this caused me to cringe at times (specific ages of adolescence)? Yes. And I love this joyful thing about her.

I know that phrase so well, "but... you look soooo good." I love your approach so much and will try to do the same next time when someone throws cake in my face. Onward and preferably, dancing.

Nothing like a cake to the face! ONWARDS! Thank you, friend :)

This is rebellion, daring to feel joy unashamedly in the face of despair. This is the way to push back and to embrace life and love. Thank you for the reminder that finding joy and gratitude in the moment, however small is the ultimate act of rebellion. I would also add singing, loudly and even badly to announce that act! Wishing you more joy ❤️👏👏❤️

I haven't been out to see my favorite dance band since we lost our daughter, nearly 10 years ago. I have seen bands, mind you - I regularly go to concerts. I just haven't seen my favorite, local one, and I don't know what's been keeping me away.

However, I've been inspired by you, to really try to get out, see them, and dance.
