Backstory! This past spring, I finally launched my Write Now workshop—a project years in the dreaming, procrastinating, and creating. My first circle of writers led to another, and then another! In fact, a handful wanted to keep going, so I created Write Now 2. And when a couple of them wanted to go deeper, I developed my 1:1 program, FORTRESS. (I love you, dear writers!)
This is all to say: a wild, mindful teacher was born (that’s me), and I’d love to share a snippet of how I do things with YOU!
THIS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25th 12-1pm EST on Zoom — WRITE NOW
Registration required, click here.
My Write Now workshops combine writing, meditation, and a little bit of rock ‘n’ roll— me in a nutshell. I have a tried-and-true method for writing no matter what’s going on, and for harnessing whatever you have going on into your best writing yet…says she who has written her way through quite a few things!
Writers, the writer-curious, non-writers, all humans welcome.
The world is heavy, and the weeks ahead are important. I invite you to take a minute so you can best show up. Let’s get pens to the page, hands to the heart, and check in with ourselves. I’ll also take a minute or two to talk about FORTRESS (you can ask questions, too!) for which I have two openings in November.
I hope to see you there, it would be so much fun to “meet” on Zoom and spend some time together. See below for some sweet testimonials.
xx Alexa
TESTIMONIALS:
“FORTRESS has unlocked a creativity that had been dormant within me for a decade. It has excavated my soul, unleashing a connection to myself and my life that I didn’t realize was missing. Alexa has a beautiful way of helping you lean into storytelling while processing intense topics. Her poignant notes, verbal whimsies, and inspiring way of being lead you to approach your writing—and your own life—in the most playful of ways. By the end of Week 1, you’ll find yourself blithely analyzing language and beginning to piece together narrative in fantastical, down-the-rabbit-hole kinds of ways. Alexa has breathed life back into mine, helping me see that even the smallest moments bear fruit and are worthy of bringing pen to paper.”
Cecilia, FORTRESS 1:1 (Summer/Fall 2024)
"Alexa Wilding is at both times a gentle guiding hand and a force of nature. The readings in the course were at times tender and at other times provocative and raw always giving us grist to chew on and learn from. The format she used which included a short meditation at the beginning created a candid and supportive environment for participants to truly listen and be open to one another. I felt supported throughout the course."
Katie, WRITE NOW workshop (Spring/Summer 2024)
"This workshop was one of the most meaningful gifts I have given myself in a long while. Alexa tended to my heart and artist soul, wisely, nourishingly, observantly and skillfully, generously sharing her spiritual and literary knowledge as well as hard-won human experience. She cultivated an incredibly supportive atmosphere for people of different backgrounds to share their most honest selves, as well as kindled and facilitated deep discussions. It helped me write, helped me choreograph, helped me create."
Ohad, WRITE NOW workshop (Spring/Summer 2024)
"Alexa holds such a beautiful and brave space for the group and she is a wise and generous teacher. From the first gathering, I felt at ease and it was clear I was in a safe container to jumpstart my writing practice. I have always been a shy writer, reluctant to even call myself a writer, but with Alexa's thoughtful guidance, humor, and compassion I found that I was able to push through some of the fears I have and trust the process of writing. Alexa offered a carefully curated, accessible syllabus filled with thought provoking readings and writing prompts and each class began with a guided meditation. There was plenty of time for discussion and sharing and I was always sad the see the time pass so quickly. If you are looking for a supportive, safe, kind space to explore a writing practice this is it! I cannot recommend Write Now but more specifically, Alexa's teaching enough. I will be forever grateful for the time spent with this special group."
